We are Emma and John, brother and sister team who opened Tortoise Storage together back in November 2019. We saw the need for an extremely secure and immaculate self storage site in Knowsley so set out on a mission to create the best storage facility that we could! It took 2 years of planning and hard work to get to a position where we could finally open the doors but we couldn't be happier with the site now and our customers seem to agree! In 2022 we acquired a second site- this time in Leyland- an indoor facility that has already been established for some years. We will put all our efforts into bringing this site to a level both our customers and ourselves can be proud of.
The main focus of everything we do at Tortoise Storage is quality. Quality storage, quality surroundings, quality facilities and quality service. We don’t cut corners when it comes to providing our customers with the best storage experience in an extremely secure yet welcoming environment.
One of the founders of the company, John has been with Tortoise Storage from the very start and helped it grow into the company that it is today. John oversees the development of both the Knowsley and Leyland sites as well as planning for expansion in the future.
Emma founded the company along with John and was instrumental in the construction and set-up of the Knowsley site. She is currently on maternity leave but we look forward to welcoming her back soon into the team.
Lou started back in June 2022 as manager of our Knowsley site. She manages the day to day running of the site as well as helping make plans to improve the site in the future. Her friendly and personable approach has made her a customer favourite.
Tim has been with the team since October 2023 and manages the Leyland site. His attention to detail and inability to sit down means the site is always spotless gaining lots of complements from visitors.
